Rossini Stabat Mater - Bury Choral Society May 2018
"Samantha Chambers’ glorious soprano, Helen Gregory’s mezzo so rich it was like velvet, Iain Henderson’s amazing tenor and John Cunningham’s stunning authoritative bass-baritone. All four blended beautifully and it was a treat to listen to them."
The Magic Flute - Heritage Opera 2017
The Three Ladies are equally delightful (Heather Heighway, Serenna Wagner, Helen-Anne Gregory) – amazons in straw hats, bringing humour to the action and beauty to the harmonies.

Hansel & Gretel - Clonter Opera 2012
"The star of the show is Helen Anne Gregory as the Witch, played as a larger-than-life soubrette, a temptress and a tyrant."

Elgar Music Makers
Haslemere Symphony Orchestra and Chorus - Mar 2012
Elgar’s The Music Makers is a setting of a text by Arthur O’Shaughnessy which is very much of its time and appealed enormously to the composer, who infused his setting with nostalgic references to many of his earlier works. It covers the whole range of dramatic emotion, and changes of speed which were not always comfortable, but the performance was an admirable effort on the part of both orchestra and chorus. Mezzo soprano Helen Anne Gregory’s rendering of the solo part was indeed beautiful and stirring, and the well-drilled chorus was attentive and alert, as was the orchestra for the most part. There’s nothing wrong with putting on an ambitious project when it works out as well as this one did.

A Night at the Opera - Preston Minster - Jul 2011
"...the evening was an absolute treat. The venue, the programme and the virtuoso accompaniment were all perfect and we feel privileged to have been present. Well done to all of you for your wonderful performances... PS Helen: your rendition of the Mozart aria reminded me of Cecilia Bartoli!"

"...an engaging and enterprising group of students at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester has chosen it to demonstrate their considerable theatrical story telling skill and invention as well as exceptional ensemble singing. All the Principals acquit themselves with honour... There were many stand out moments in an evening of superb singing and characterisation... These talented performers play various instruments in the course of the show as well as act and sing sometimes alternately. The seemless way they did this was extremely professional..."

Carmen - City of Manchester Opera - Buxton Festival Jul 2010
"There were so many good moments in this performance but for me I was particularly moved by the Don Jose's (John Elliot) duet with Micaela (Rachel van Heel) in Act 1 and by the splendidly powerful singing of Helen Gregory whose rich tones were perfectly suited to the role of Carmen." .... Peter Low
